Riding Schedule

The list to the right is going to be the index for 5 major rides I plan on taking this year with my wonderful wife Kim and anyone else that cares to tak along. I came across these rides from a book my daughters got me for Christmas. It has a bunch of rides all in Ohio. List all the history and special things to visit.

When the riding season gets a little closer we will be posting dates for the rides, most of them are only around 200 miles so should be able to do them in one day, with the exception of the ride to Cincinnati, this ride is to go see my daughter Megan!

She's Still There

Well, I took a quick look at the Ultra today and she was happy to see me! I think she wants to ride as bad as I do.

I've put a few things together that needs to be done, like new brakes on the rear, light issues on the tour pak and something else I've forgotten. Looks like it's time to get started, I have a heater in the garage so weather is not the issue!

Maybe tonight......

I’ve decided to do a yearlong log on my riding experiences. This is not to say I ride a lot of miles, however I do ride a lot! I own my own insurance agency, a small shop with just me and my wife running it.

I ride a 1999 HD Ultra, with a 1979 FLH sitting in the shed waiting to be restored. I’ve always said that “when I’ve made it” I’m going to bring the 79 back to its original state as close as possible. Needless to say, I’ve not “made” it as of yet, but I’m only 51 years old, got plenty of time.

I love to ride, my wife loves to ride with me, the only problem we have is Rio, she is our 6 year old mutt, weighs in around 40lbs and we just haven’t found a good spot for her on the bike. Still working on it and I’m sure we will some day.

So here it goes, my Ultra is sitting in the garage with the battery tender plugged in. I have a complete detail scheduled for later in the spring and only a few things I would like to do to it. I will update this blog on what I have done, when and how I did it and then when it’s time to ride.

My favorite saying – Were burning daylight! With Harleys new saying, “screw it, let’s ride” I’m all ready to go.

Power to the people, the people want peace!
